WE WILL ANNOUNCE TEACHERS ON 1 DECEMBER!
Fena Ortalli (Spain)
Feña began his acting career in 2001. Five years later he created Global Impro, an improv troupe dedicated to national and international collaboration and exchange. Based in Madrid, where he performs and teaches with Impromadrid and El Club de la Impro, two of the most important companies of the city. Since 2011 he writes, edits and directs Status, an improv magazine with more than 2500 suscribers all over the world, and it's considered the most influential publication for the Spanish speaking improv community. Since 2017, the magazine is also available in English. In 2018, Feña Ortalli published his first book Impro: Dinámica de lo Impensado (Impro: Dynamics of the Unexpected) in which he analyzes improv technique through football analogies. The book has been published in Spanish and English by Ediciones Status. Since 2001 he has taught and performed in different cities in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Uruguay, Canada, Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Bulgaria and Greece. But he's really an introvert.
If we don't know where we're going… why hurry? Some people think that improv is speed, dynamic, immediacy. But it's not just that. It's also pause, harmony and silence. It's a play written and performed on the spot and, like every play, it has its moments. Through this workshop we will try to find the joy of the scene. The joy of stopping and looking at the scenery, to develop inner and outer conflicts, to enjoy our characters, to deepen the dialogues and to consciously delay the resolution through the use of music.
